Electroplating Tank
Current Collector

|
|
Typical Electroplating Arrangement
|
Application:
Electroplating tank conductor and roll support for
immersion into an electrolytic bath. The collector is supported by the shaft and transmits
high amperage electricity to the roll. The Current Collector Assemblies will retrofit into
existing electroplating lines. The current collector assembly is capable of conducting a
maximum of 30,000 AMPS at 30 volts at a 100% duty cycle.
Cost Savings:
These units provide substantial operating and maintenance cost
savings. Reduced water cooling requirements due to more efficient design, providing much
longer service life and reduced maintenance than traditional units.

Standard Design Features:
Precision Ball Bearings.
Silver, spring loaded, contact shoes for maximum
current conduction.
Industry standard high quality seals.
Filtered high grade castor oil lubrication pump
system for adequate cooling and long life.
High capacity circulating pump for collector
assemblies.
Easy read sight gauge for monitoring fluid level.
Tapered, hollow rotating inner shaft assembly
complete with coupling to connect with taper shaft of the process equipment.
- Main wear surfaces designed as replacement parts.
- Rugged cast copper housing enclosure.

These NEWCOR Current Conducting
Assemblies are capable of conducting a maximum of 30,000 volts at a 100% duty cycle.
|
|
Operational Requirements:
- Inlet of clean water at 70 degree Fahrenheit
will typically result in a water temperature rise to 100 degrees Fahrenheit
at 30,000 AMPS.
- Castor Oil AA USP Pharmaceutical grade or AA Standard may be
substituted. One (1) gallon for Current Collector and 4 - 7 gallons for
recirculation and
system depending upon hose lengths.
- Oil pump motor is 1/2 HP, 3 Phase, 480 Volts.
